How small influencers get brand deals on Instagram

Many believe that an account must have 10 K followers or more to get brands to do paids collaborations, but that’s not the case. I’ve done paid collabs on my Instagram with good and real brands for a few years – and I have less than 4000 followers!

Here’s how I’ve done it and how you can do it.

  1. Have a niche – this makes it easier for you to pitch to a potential partner why they should work with you. Brand want to reach out to a specific audience, and if you know that you’re followers match that target group they are trying to reach or sell to - that’s a match.

  2. Don’t be afraid to reach out first! Contact the brands that you want to work with, be clear with what you can offer them both in terms of what you will deliver, but also who they will reach by working with you.

  3. Spend time on developing your craft. Be nice and deliver on time.

This is how I’ve managed to work with good and sustainable brands despite having a small Instagram account.
